Second survey of the fish diversity in the coralligenous reef around Gyaros

The second phase of the study of the fish diversity of the tragana of Gyaros by the Zoology lab of the department of Biology of the University of Patras. The study is being carried out for the purposes of the preparatory actions of CYCLADES LIFE. The scientists collect the fish and make a series of measurements and scientific analyses in order to map the fish diversity of the tragana of Gyaros. Coralligenous reefs are a very important habitat that provides shelter to a number of fish such as lobster and mullet but also protected species such as corals.
