MOm’s team of researchers, who are responsible for the monitoring of the Monk Seal population of Gyaros, continue their work as planned. During the month of February, they visited and inspected all of the seal caves in Gyaros. Moreover, they carefully surveyed the infrared cameras placed at the caves and took care of any maintenance issues that had arisen. Lastly, they downloaded all the materials from the cameras so that the team then proceed with the assessment and filing of the data. Monk seals use the caves in order to rest and breed their pups.
