On Sunday the 17th of May, a very energetic company started from Syros with the first light of dawn to clean the beaches of Gyaros. The threatened with extinction Mediterranean monk seal uses open beaches and caves in order to rest and feed its pups. Volunteers from the Syrian society of speedboads, the society of photography, cadets from the Academy of Syros (on their own incentive) and the municipality of Syros also contributed to this very important action of the CYCLADES LIFE project.
