On the 5th of June, International Environment Day, a Myconian NGO organised a special night dedicated to the marine environment with the topic “Marine Protected Areas in the Aegean”. Elina Samara, Field Technician for the CYCLADES LIFE presented the vision and the goals of the project. Other speakers were Dimitris Zannes, founding member of the Mediterranean Platform of Artisanal Fishermen and the Board of Directors of Artisanal Fishermen L.I.F.E and Peter Nikolaidis, Oceanographer-Biologist, Special Mechanic of Underwater constructions.
