In order to further expedite the assessment of Gyaros’ Mediterranean monk seal population MOm has sent nine genetic samples from Mediterranean monk seals to the Institute of Marine Biology and Genetics (Hellenic Centre for Marine Research), for the initiation of the comparative analysis.
