On Monday the 11th of July the second meeting of the Consortium of Stakeholders of Gyaros took place at the Sailing Club of Syros in Ermoupoli. The members of the Consortium listened to five short presentations by the scientists who for the purposes of CYCLADES LIFE studied for the first time the natural treasures of the island of Gyaros: the terrestrial habitats as well as the flora and fauna species, the avifauna and the Mediterranean Monk seal population of the island, the underwater habitats and the fish association of the coralligenous habitat of the marine area of Gyaros. The members of the Consortium had the chance to talk with the scientists, work together in thematic groups, exchange views but also express their own personal stories about the island.
