Shortly before the end of March, the CYCLADES LIFE project traveled to the marine protected area of Torre Guacetto. The mission was comprised of members of WWF Greece, DCLAC and Tethys Research Institute, professional fishermen from Syros and Andros and enterreneurs from Syros. During the trip, the participants learned about the way the MPA is managed as well as the composition of its management body. Torre Guacetto has succeeded in ensuring the sustainability of the marine environment as well as high income for the fishermen that participate at the management of the area.
