CYCLADES LIFE Diving slates

The diving slates, that were designed for the purposes of CYCLADES LIFE, present the underwater fauna and flora of Gyaros. They are one of the raising awareness tools of the project but also aim to promote sustainable underwater tourism on the island. After all, one of the main actions of the project is the design of underwater trails at the marine area surrounding Gyaros whereby divers, wearing the necessary gear but also having the slate with them will learn about the species they encounter in the specially designed trails. The goal is  to protect but also bring to light the hidden treasures of the island. Gyaros is part of the European network of protected areas Natura 2000 and fishing is also forbidden within a radius of 3 n.m.
